Best buddies Hooray For Earth and Twin Shadow share the love with listeners.
I think it’s time we have a very important talk, kiddo. No, no, it’s nothing bad, in fact it’s natural and actually quite beautiful. You see, sometimes, when two musical artists love each other very, very much, they do something called “writing a song” together. If they do it right, this is how great tracks, like “A Place We Like” by Twin Shadow and Hooray for Earth, are born. Questions?
This is the bonus track from the limited edition of Twin Shadow‘s new albumĀ Forget, out now on Rough Trade, which was limited to 1,000 copies. It’s exactly what a bonus track should be — too many bands think this designation is best suited to a junky afterthought of a song that didn’t make the cut for the album proper. Instead, Twin Shadow, with the help of Hooray for Earth, included this truly nice surprise, bursting with optimism, shimmying vocals, and sporadic spaceship whistles. Best of all, you can hear how much the artists admire each other, which is always a nice thing to be privy to.
