Death + Taxes is proud to present Blood Orange, Headless Horseman, DADS (Quinn Walker of Suckers and Heems of Das Racist), Emil + Friends, and Das Racist (DJ set) February 18 at Pianos.
It’s time for another killer show brought to you by Death + Taxes! Our first concert of the year features Blood Orange, the new project from Dev Hynes of Lightspeed Champion. We’re also looking forward to a set by Headless Horseman, who have been prominently featured in our Band Watch. (This show is actually a part of their residency at Pianos this month, which is sure to be excellent on the whole.) DADS fuses the woozy psych-rock sensibilities of Suckers with the most notoriously mouthy member of hip-hop impresarios Das Racist, who will also be DJing the event. All this and a great opening act: Emil & Friends will start the night off with some seriously good deconstructed pop music. Tickets are $8 in advance and $10 at the door.
