Radiohead Might Not Be Finished Releasing ‘King of Limbs’ Material

Fan and critic speculations claim there may be a second part to ‘The King of Limbs.’

Since the release of Radiohead‘s new album last Friday, message boards and music sites have been bombarded with a vast amount of “conspiracy theories” regarding “The King of Limbs.” Though most are plain trash, there is one that holds a genuinely interesting point: there may be a second “King of Limbs” album.

The main evidence for this theory is the fact the rather short album finishes on a track titled “Separator”—on which Thom Yorke repeatedly sings “if you think this is over, then you’re wrong.” A direct message from the band, if the theory were to be held true, couldn’t be any clearer.

On top of that, many fans have noted the lack of other members in the eight tracks—where’s Johnny Greenwood‘s virtuosic guitar and noise-samples?

The album often sounds more like Yorke‘s solo LP “The Eraser” than a group effort, which has lead many to believe that there must be more tracks—either to layer on top of these current ones à la Flaming Lips‘ “Zaireeka” or to create a longer piece of work.

Another possible hint is the fact that orders from Radiohead‘s website were marked “TKOL1″ — could that mean there’s a “TKOL2″ on the way?

Whether this second album proves to be true or fans (myself included) are simply clinging to wild theories of ‘more to come’ as a way of denying the fact that they might be disappointed by Radiohead‘s new work—we’ll probably have to wait until the album’s physical release on March 28, or even the special “newspaper” edition on May 9, and see.

You have to admit, this does sound like something Radiohead would pull.

Or.. maybe some people are so underwhelmed by the record that they’re just hoping that there’s more. Maybe a song with a hook?

Wow. What a shameless copy/paste job this is from ateaseweb.com. The writer must be an actual Radiohead fan since they can so poorly copy an article from a major fan site. It’s at least plagiarized well, since the writer states that they are actually gullible enough to think Radiohead would use “If you think this is over, then you’re wrong” as a hint within the lyrics (the only thing contrary to the At Ease article).
