If you take all of Charlie Sheen’s recent quotes out of the context of a downwardly spiraling drug addict, they’re actually pretty poetic. “I’m like Zeus in a speedo” sounds like copy for a cologne ad. Or at least a Jimmy Fallon parody of a cologne ad.
A couple months ago a guy in our office was watching Jimmy Fallon singing “Douple Rainbow” as Neil Young on YouTube, and our editor, hearing it from across the room, thought Neil Young had decided to cover of the tripping internet sensation himself. It seemed like a desperate choice for the 65 year-old legend, but for that brief moment, we were ready to get on board.
Last night, Jimmy Fallon showed that he can also manipulate his voice to do an amazingly accurate impersonation of “bitching rock star from Mars,” Charlie Sheen. The video, which you can view below, is a spoof advertisement for a new fragrance by Charlie Sheen called “Winning.” No original text had to be written—Sheen’s quotes provided all the material required.
Maybe he’ll go from being an “unemployed winner” to a super-rich copy writer?
