"Miss Me Yet?"

Never heard of  Wyoming, Minnesota? Well it’s home to around 3,000 people and an odd giant billboard featuring our former fearless leader, George Dubya. The clever ad depicts a goofy President Bush giving a sheepish wave and asks the question “miss me yet?” There is much debate about who is responsible for the financial backing of the billboard, a conservative Obama hater, or a witty left-winger.

I think the billboard on Interstate 35 asks a great question. How can Barack Obama make America forget the most accomplished President in United States history? Say what you will about George W. Bush, but the silly old bastard achieved a lot while occupying the Oval Office.

First off he sidestepped his way into the White House after losing the popular vote. He declared war on terrorism, which involved invading Afghanistan in 2001 and Iraq in 2003. He botched the handling of Hurricane Katrina’s disaster relief. Bush’s presidency also resulted in this pesky little recession. You know, the reason many college grads are begging for their high school summer jobs back. He even made pretzels exciting.

For our country’s sake I hope it was a witty left-winger reminding our country the terrible shape our nation was in two years ago and who put us there. The worst thing our nation can do is begin to walk out on the Obama administration one year into his term. It doesn’t matter if you’re red, blue, or colorblind.
