Her debut solo album “Last Summer” is out in July.

Eleanor Friedberger, one half of brother-sister duo The Fiery Furnaces, is releasing her debut solo record this summer. While her brother-slash-bandmate Matthew is apparently releasing eight solo albums this year, Eleanor will drop “Last Summer” on July 12.

She was inspired to record the record while working on her portion of the 2009 Fiery Furnaces release “Take Me Round Again.” According to Merge Records, who will be releasing the album, she will tour later this year.
