Writer are a rollicking duo from San Diego.
Writer, comprised of brothers Andy and James Ralph, rocked the Death and Taxes SXSW party this year with Pains of Being Pure at Heart and Dan Deacon, to name a few.
The duo recently released a two-track 7-inch via Loud + Clear Records. The title track, “Miss Mermaid,” is a lof-fi ditty with watery vocals. But don’t let the lo-fi fool you. The song is played with an intensity that is vaguely reminiscent of late 90s acts the likes of Neutral Milk Hotel, while bringing that west coast feel. Check out the track below.
