Six months after his show premiered, Lawrence O’Donnell starts making some noise. MSNBC may have found its new Keith Olbermann.
After six months of competent yet mostly unexciting (and occasionally melodramatic) news broadcasting whose most salient feature was appearing right before Rachel Maddow, Lawrence O’Donnell stepped up last night and made some serious noise in the Obama birth certificate story.
O’Donnnell had Orly Taitz, fairy godmother of the birther movement, on the show to discuss Obama’s birth certificate, and to publicly acknowledge—as even die-hard birthers like Donald Trump and Newt Gingrich have done, that Obama is a natural-born American citizen. When she got on the air, however, she refused to discuss the birth certificate, to confirm or deny its veracity, or to acknowledge her role in the smear campaign against the president. Instead, she brought out a copy of what she claimed is Obama’s Selective Service registration form, and proceeded to call the president a liar.
O’Donnell channeled his inward Edward R. Murrow, and unleashed a torrent of indignation that just about made up for months of baseless lies and slander the with which the birther movement has been smugly polluting the national dialogue.
If O’Donnell keeps up this level of intensity when it comes to accountability, last night will mark the start of many badass accolades for the newscaster. Take a look below.

I watch Lawrence every night so I saw this. I loved it. He was great. That woman wouldn’t address the birth certificate at all. I say “GO LAWRENCE!!” She’s a nut job like the other “birthers” and someday I hope she will shut the heck up and grow a brain.

Obviously the crazy person is you. The birth certificate Obama has released is a clear forgery. It is produced in layers that anyone can see with the help of Adobe Illustrator.
Furthermore, the accusation of Orly Taze is not just that Obama is not a natural born citizen. She has evidence that Obama has committed many crimes of identity theft.
In addition to that, even if Obama were born in USA, which he hasn’t, he has lost his citizenship when his mother took her to Indonesia and he got the citizenship of Indonesia.
