“Belong,” my current musical fixation, is very low-key, but would still sound terrific on a subwoofer. These seem to be the defining characteristics for most of Washed Out’s repertoire. The songs utilize well-placed electronic instrumentation that is consistently more melodic than overly tech-y, which works with the subtle shy-boy vocals that I find so oddly seductive.
Since Washed Out is unsigned, you can listen to some songs on MySpace and buy more music, albeit on cassette and vinyl only (fucking pedant), on Greene’s website.
