After Michael Rother and Klaus Dinger left the band Kraftwerk in the early '70s, Neu! was born. Being one of the seminal bands in the krautrock explosion, their influence on the world of music is expansive. Dinger, the visionary drummer for both Kraftwerk and Neu! who created the signature "motorik" beat passed away in 2008, and now his preeminent band is reissuing their entire discography, with a little help from former guitarist Michael Rother who will be doing all the remastering. Read about the box set and all the extra goodies after the jump.

First off, I’ve been looking for Neu! records for a while now. Kinda hard to find, if you’re me, so I’m stoked to be able to get all of them. Of coarse Neu!, Neu! 2, Neu! ’75 are all included, along with the rare Neu! ’86 and an 18-minute single called Neu! ’72 (like it cause it rhymes). That’s not all. Besides all those records you get a 36-page book about the band that includes photos from the famous rock n’ roll photographer Anton Corbijn, A Neu! stencil, a t-shirt, and download codes for all the albums!
That’s all the information that is available now, but in the coming weeks more info about cost and release date will be posted here.
