The Green Day Machine has been busy lately, also churning out a musical set to the plot of American Idiot on April 20th, 2010. Check out some more info on the Broadway Musical here.

This videogame will be the latest in the Rock Band Artist Series, with previous incarnations inspired by ever-feuding Aerosmith, and this little band called the Beatles. The Green Day version of Rock Band is gonna set you back anywhere from $49.99 (Wii), $59.99 (PS3, Xbox 360) and $69.99 for a special version with special packaging, export and six Green Day DLC tracks (PS3, Xbox 360).

There’s a surprising amount of truth in this post, albeit thoroughly accidental. You have to read between the lines, though, and that’s made all the more difficult by your ever-present solecism and head-slapping metaphor mixtures. (Why is it necessary to put on three different pairs of shoes to “wail away” to Green Day songs? Something tells me you were not an English major in college…)
Life rewards the patient, however, and the true message can be culled from this fawning latrine of a press release. To wit: this middling ‘90s pop-punk band, made up entirely of middle-aged men in make-up, has beaten the odds to become the “Green Day Machine”, an LLC that makes its money “churning out” products such as a video game that’ll “set you back anywhere from $49.99 (Wii), $59.99 (PS3, Xbox 360) and $69.99 [limited edition]” video game and a Sensational “Broadway Musical” Extravaganza!
And honestly, after you’ve said that, what’s really left to say about Green Day?
