Danger Mouse’s ‘Rome’ Helps While Away Your Friday

Like Arcade Fire before them, Daniele Luppi and Danger Mouse make a Google Chrome video for “3 Dreams of Black.”

Last year, Arcade Fire wowed music and computer nerds with the interactive video for “We Used to Wait.” If you don’t remember, you typed in your childhood address and the video played out, ending in a Google Maps view of your street. It was somewhere between outstanding and spooky.

Now, Danger Mouse and Daniele Luppi have offered up “3 Dreams of Black,” a track from their joint effort “Rome,” to be used in a similar clip. This time you are navigating your way through several fantasy worlds, and at the end you have the option to keep playing through them or building obstacles to go in the terrain.

It’s a great way to waste a few minutes at your computer. Or your entire Friday. Make sure you’re using Google Chrome, then head on over to the video site to play around with it.

Didn’t Radiohead do this first with their vid for “House of Cards”?
