Hear the record Prefuse 73 was so afraid of.
Back when the joint effort between Prefuse 73 and the Flaming Lips was first announced, Prefuse’s Guillermo Scott Herren tweeted that it was the first time he’d ever been “scared” by a collaboration. It seems that fear was an excellent motivator, because the four songs, streaming below, are pretty good.
The Flaming Lips are no strangers to collaborating, having recently performed or recorded with Neon Indian, Panda Bear and MGMT. The always-experimental group recently confirmed that they will be putting out a live album. They’re on tour throughout the summer, including a couple of shows at the Hollywood Forever cemetery in Los Angeles.
“The Super Moon Made Me Want to Pee”
“Heavy Star Moving…”
“Be Like That…That…That”
“Guillermo’s Bolero”
