Enjoy some brash punk to get you through the afternoon.

According to Cerebral Ballzy bassist Melvin Honore, their new track “Insufficient Fare” seems like it’s about not having money to take public transportation, but it’s actually “a snotty rant about us being oppressed by the constantly changing economic hell that kills us all.”

To accompany the snotty rants and potentially-offensive-but-hilarious name, the band’s sound and live shows are reminiscent of the classic days of punk. Recorded, they’re raw and unprocessed. Live, they’re just as raw and often a little drunk. Check them out if you get a chance. They’re touring with The Black Lips in June and playing Brooklyn’s Afro-Punk Festival in August. Their self-titled debut album comes out July 26 on Williams Street Records.
