Back to School FEAT

It’s the time of year when you rediscover how to read and write after three months of summer’s mind-erasing heat. But when once our days of pining away over degrees have passed we need something to fill the void of our back to school excitement. There are measures you can take to ease the pain of never seeing your friends again or needing to be productive before 3 p.m.

New Jersey is Covering Its Landfill Stench in True Jersey Style: With Cheap Perfume

:: Wednesday, August 25, 2010
Jersey_Feat

Everyone knows that New Jersey smells like shit. How are the landfills dealing with their embarrassing nastiness? The same way the state’s ladies do: by covering it with cheap, fruity perfume. Here’s some other Jersey trash we think should get doused while they’re at it.

For a long time Asbury Park was known for one thing: Bruce Springsteen. Honestly, that’s it. Today, Robin Parness Lipson is trying make old shore city known for something more, as she attempts to bring a Museum of Modern Art to Asbury Park.

Jersey Shore Rings Opening Bell at NYSE: Hilariousness Ensues

:: Tuesday, July 27, 2010
Cast Of "Jersey Shore" Rings The NYSE Opening Bell - July 27, 2010

This winter MTV took an East Coast subculture and made it a phenomenon.

I’d be willing to guess that about 80% of the “The Jersey Shore’s” audience watch the show for a good laugh. But there is a percentage of people that idolize the cast and even dream to one day “beat the beat” as hard as they do. These same people are the reason Ed Hardy, Affliction and GNC stock have been rising steadily since the show’s premiere.

After The Situation, Snookie, DJ Pauly D and the rest of the crew left Seaside, many thought this special group of Italian-Americans would be long forgotten by now. They thought wrong.

Asian "Jersey Shore": Busting Stereotypes One Fist-Pump At a Time

:: Thursday, July 15, 2010

Jersey Shore has guidos. Queer Eye had gays with great hair, and The Real L Word has lesbians with better hair. Now Asian-Americans are the latest group to be embraced/exploited/encouraged by producers to have sex on camera. MTV Iggy reports that the cast of K-Town, a reality series touted as “the Asian Jersey Shore“, has [...]

What to Wear Steve Madden's New "Snookie" Shoes With

:: Wednesday, May 19, 2010

This new excruciatingly glittery shoe by Steve Madden pays homage to its namesake’s legacy by being as tacky as Snooki herself.  I would recommend wearing these beauties with a classic Snooki outfit: A leopard thong, a short, white miniskirt, and French braids.  That is her signature hairstyle, right?

Snooki is Single Again… Yes, This is Newsworthy

:: Tuesday, April 20, 2010

You might be asking ‘who the fuck cares?’ But apparently Snickers broke up with her boyfriend, Emilio Masella, because he was piggybacking on her fame. I’m surprised she didn’t see that coming, because she always seemed like a card carrying MENSA member to me. Snooki just can’t help herself with all these tan juiceheads running [...]

Confession: I'm A Vegetarian Who Loves Heart-Attack-y Food Blogs

:: Friday, February 05, 2010

Recently, I decided to stop eating meat, which is huge for this meatloaf-and-gravy-lover.  My newfound vegetarianism basically means that I now eat only pizza and broccoli (never combined, I find that vegetables make pizza too soggy), my favorite meatless foods.  Truthfully, I can’t say I’m mad at that.  However, I love to live vicariously through [...]

Jersey Shore 2 Becomes a Reality

:: Wednesday, January 27, 2010

There is a longstanding tradition amongst New Jersey high school seniors that gets kept quiet in an effort to preserve its existence. Rather than your average post-prom rager, us Jerseyans really dig deep, renting out entire seaside motels and thus extending prom night to three glorious days in the process. Even more sacred than the [...]
