‘Sun God’, the album closer from Cut Copy’s Grammy-nominated 2011 LP “Zonoscope,” has been remixed by UK producer¬†Andy Weatherall.

For those unfamiliar with Weatherall, the UK-based producer got started in the heady days of Acid House with a remix of the seminal Happy Mondays track “Hallelujah” alongside Paul Oakenfold (pre-trance, pre-cheese). He also founded the bands Sabres of Paradise and Two Lone Swordsmen.

In many ways, Weatherall is the perfect option for a Cut Copy remix, and his work here hints at his early 90s output in a very hypnotic and fun way. It’s very Acid House and thus very fun. A perfect track to get us all through the coming onslaught of winter.

The “Sun God” single, which will feature another remix by Andrew Weatherall, will be available in digital and vinyl formats on Jan 20th (AUS), Jan 23rd (UK/EU), and Jan 24th (US).
