Fox News hits back at Newt Gingrich: ‘That’s the kind of man he is.’

Fox News has been all over the place today. First there was Roger Ailes’ snarky comment about Gawker’s Fox Mole, and then long-faded presidential candidate Newt Gingrich claimed the cable channel’s in Mitt Romney’s electoral corner.

“I think Fox has been for Romney all the way through,” said Gingrich, a former Fox News contributor, at a campaign event at Wesley College. “In our experience, Callista and I both believe CNN is less biased than FOX this year. We are more likely to get neutral coverage out of CNN than we are of FOX, and we’re more likely to get distortion out of FOX. That’s just a fact.”

Fox News was not about to take that lying down and gave Yahoo News! what amounts to a stunning take down of their long-lost employee: “This is nothing other than Newt auditioning for a windfall of a gig at CNN–that’s the kind of man he is. Not to mention, he’s still bitter about the fact that we terminated his contributor contract.”
