Spiritualized play ‘Hey Jane on ‘Letterman’

Spiritualized stopped by “The Late Show” last night to play a track from their great new album, “Sweet Heart, Sweet Light.” The performance of “Hey Jane” was complete with gospel organ, foxy backing vocalists, and indoor sunglasses-wearing.

Letterman as usual continues to wear the crown for best musical guest host on TV, prefacing his introduction with a quick overview of the definition of “solipsism.” He also draws some funny attention to the confusing album art for “Sweet Heart, Sweet Light,” which shows an octagon with the word “Huh?” in the middle of it, with no other information. Despite the confusion, it’s a solid performance from the band who taped at “The Late Show” just hours before a show over at New York’s Terminal 5.

Without further ado, here’s the “Hey Jane” performance below.
