Yeasayer streams new track, ‘Henrietta’

Yeasayer helped usher in the psychedelic invasion between 2007-2010, but we haven’t heard much from them since 2010’s “Odd Blood.” They seem to be on roughly the same release schedule as Passion Pit, who released “Manners” around the same time as “Odd Blood,” and who recently teased a first track from their forthcoming record “Gossamer.” Today, Yeasayer returns with “Henrietta,” a teaser from their new album, presumably to be released later this year.

“Henrietta” doesn’t exactly scream hit single like the “Odd Blood” triumph “Ambling Alp,” but it does keep in the electronic, danceable direction the band veered in after its 2007 debut “All Hour Cymbals.” Below, you can watch Yeasayer play the other new track they unveiled last year, “Devil and the Deed.”
