VH1 begins production on TLC biopic called ‘Crazy Sexy Cool: The TLC Story’

From the network that brought us many intimate “Behind The Music” episodes comes news that production on a full-length biopic about the ’90s R&B group TLC will begin next month in their hometown of Atlanta. Aptly titled “Crazy Sexy Cool: The TLC Story” aims to give us an inside look into the group.

We all know about the tragic death of Lisa “Left Eye” Lopes in 2002 in Honduras but this movie will focus more on what we did not know about them. T-Boz promises that this movie will reveal much more about the inner workings of the group. “There is so much to our story that hasn’t been told until this movie,” T-Boz said in a press release. “Fans will be able to really understand the dynamic of the group and why that formula has not been able to be duplicated.”

Kate Lanier of “Glitter” fame wrote the script and Charles Stone III (“Drumline”) will be directing the biopic. No word on release date, but check out one of our favorite TLC tracks “No Scrubs” below.
