The National debut new song ‘Sea of Love’ on ‘Jimmy Fallon’

So The National have a new record coming out on May 20. It’s called “Trouble Will Find Me” because these are not the cheeriest of dudes. They’re also curating a music and film festival this weekend in Brooklyn called Crossing Brooklyn Ferry, which they named after a Walt Whitman poem about the existential woe of mortality because, again, they are not the cheeriest of dudes. But they do make unfailingly gorgeous music.

The National showed up on “Late Night With Jimmy Fallon” last night to unveil a new track from their forthcoming album, a single called “Sea of Love.” They also stuck around for a bonus performance of the previously released “I Need My Girl.” Watch both below, and stay tuned for more new tracks as May 20 approaches.
