German spy taps leak

The German spy agency, Bundesnachrichtendienst (BND), had a serious breach in security on March 5th, when the top floors of its Berlin headquarters were flooded due to the theft of several water taps.

The 1.3 billion-euro, mostly vacant building, incurred millions of dollars worth of water damage and authorities are still investigating all possible culprits.

Police believe this might be anything from political to revenge for unpaid bills. But given the nature of their business, the BND probably expected issues with their other taps, not petty thieves. Or even pettier bill collectors.
