Topless nun billboard erected before Pope’s visit

An Italian clothing company is being accused of blasphemy for their latest billboard. Residents of Naples are pissed that Rosso Di Sera put up a billboard of a topless model wearing a nun’s habit and rosaries right before Pope Francis’ March 21 visit.

The company has released a statement swearing that their ‘strong marketing choice” wasn’t intentional or meant to be blasphemous. The ad had been in the works far ahead of the Pope’s plans to visit the area.

This is what’s great about Italy. They’ll elect a porn star to parliament and be totally cool with the fact that she kept making porn while in office, but if someone put’s up a billboard with a topless model dressed as a nun, they lose their shit.

Pope Francis is cool and all, but apparently he’s not that cool.
