Django Django debut new track ‘Reflections’
Django Django continuously straddle the line between post-punk and synth-pop. Defying genres is nothing new for the lads from London, where they have been taking over the scene ever since their excellent debut self-titled record dropped in 2012.
“Reflections” is the second track the group has premiered off of May’s sophomore release “Born Under Saturn.” While “First Light” sounds like a prototypical indie-rock track, “Reflections” is a house driven, four to the floor cut that will people dancing throughout the summer.
Disco influenced, no doubt, “Reflections” is part Hot Chip beat, part ritualistic chant. And with the help of a solid sax breakdown towards the end, there is no doubt in our mind that it will be a big one. It will be also interesting to see what producers will do with what we assume will be an amazing remix package to come out later this year.
