Netflix Instant additions and purges for April

The days are getting longer, the weather is (supposedly) getting warmer, and spring is almost here. Naturally, it’s a perfect time to hole up inside with nothing but the cold glare of your laptop or giant flat screen TV and consume thousands of hours of streaming entertainment. We’re approaching the end of the month, so that means it’s time for Netflix to shake up its offerings.

Next month, we can look forward to the much hyped Marvel “Daredevil” Netflix series.

April is also a big month for the later installments of the “Leprechaun” series. Kind of missed the mark for a more opportune St. Patrick’s Day roll out, but I also like the idea of regarding homicidal leprechauns as a year round threat. Anyway, I highly recommend the one where the leprechaun murders a bunch of astronauts.

As for what’s leaving, it seems like we can’t get a horror franchise without losing a horror franchise. So, with the addition of the “Leprechaun” series, we’re losing a significant chunk of the slasher staple franchise “Friday the 13th.” On a less gory note, the “Karate Kid” franchise is vacating as well.
