Landslide reveals face of Jesus, new tourist attraction
A landslide in Putumayo, Colombia that resembles a face has believers all in a tizzy. They claim it is the face of Jesus.
Why Jesus would choose the rather quaint medium of a mudslide to reveal himself rather than more modern and accessible means such as Facebook or Instagram is unknown but so many pilgrims have flocked to the site that police have have been brought in to manage the crowds.
According to El Tiempo, some savvy nearby land-owners have found a way to profit from the holy mug by charging visitors 1,000-2,000 pesos for the privilege of rubbernecking from their property.
As the old saying goes: “When God throws a bunch of mud down a hillside, he opens up a business opportunity.”
