Donald Trump found his vice presidential running mate

CNN interviewed a group of Donald Trump supporters Thursday morning to find out just what kind of people would want to vote for such a deranged, unstable racist. The answer shouldn’t surprise anyone: deranged, unstable racists.

Exhibit A: Susan DeLemus, who tells CNN exactly why she likes Trump so much.

As transcribed by Jezebel:

We’ve got people in positions of power who I know for a fact are liars. LIARS. I watch the TV—my president comes on the TV and he LIES to me. I know he’s lying! He lies all the time. I don’t believe any one of them! Not one. I believe Donald. [background: Mm-hm. Exactly.] I’m telling you. He says what I’m thinking! Never been involved in politics, never had an interest in any of it. Now, suddenly, he is resonating. He is resonating with the people and he’s speaking our minds. Our minds! When the “pundits,” and the “experts,” and all the people who are supposed to be “in the know,” and know all this stuff, and they’re so great—I know, some of them, maybe not all, but some of them are lying to me. Straight to my face. And I am so sick of it.

The clip really must be watched to absorb the full level of crazy DeLemus displays. When she says “He says what I’m thinking,” and “he’s speaking our minds,” she points to her head and her voice cracks as if she’s describing something out of Scanners and her brain is about to explode.

DeLemus isn’t just some rando Trump wingnut though, and this isn’t the first time she’s gone batshit on camera. DeLemus is a former New Hampshire State Representative (R — natch) who previously caught the limelight for threatening a state assistant attorney general during the last election for allowing Barack Obama’s name to appear on the ballot. Here’s video of that:

Yup. Like her favorite, telepathic presidential candidate, DeLemus is a birther. As is her husband, Jerry DeLemus, a Tea Party activist who once called Obama a “treasonous Muslim.”

Trump and his supporters sure are of a kind. A kind of something.
