Intel officials warn Trump that Russia may have compromising info on him
UPDATE, 7:32 p.m.: BuzzFeed News obtained a treasure trove of memos that made up the report mentioned below. Among several allegations in the dossier includes one episode that involves Trump being caught on camera in a golden shower with Russian sex workers.
In addition to last week’s declassified DNI briefing on Russia’s hacks on the DNC, leaders of the intelligence community disclosed to President-elect Trump that Russian spies claim to have gathered “compromising personal and financial information” on him, according to Tuesday’s CNN report. Oh, and said intelligence also suggested that individuals from the Trump team and Russian operatives maintained a line of communication during the election. No shit.
More from CNN:
The allegations were presented in a two-page synopsis that was appended to a report on Russian interference in the 2016 election. The allegations came, in part, from memos compiled by a former British intelligence operative, whose past work US intelligence officials consider credible. The FBI is investigating the credibility and accuracy of these allegations, which are based primarily on information from Russian sources, but has not confirmed many essential details in the memos about Mr. Trump.
The two-page synopsis also included allegations that there was a continuing exchange of information during the campaign between Trump surrogates and intermediaries for the Russian government, according to two national security officials.
Feel free to label me as one of those libtards in hysterics, but perhaps this is the reason why PEOTUS has been so dismissive of suggestions that he should retaliate against Russia for launching cyberattacks against our American institutions? Maybe that rumored Russian orgy sex tape of his isn’t so much a rumor after all. Time will tell. Or it won’t. Anyway, FBI director James Comey, while privy to the aforementioned two-page synopsis, has not found any hard evidence that points to Russia hacking the Trump campaign. But the RNC has definitely been compromised.
“There was evidence that there was hacking directed at state level organizations, state level campaigns and the RNC,” Mr Comey told a Senate Intelligence Committee hearing, alluding to the Republican National Committee.
The Russian hackers attacked Republican political organizations using similar techniques to their cyber assault on the Democratic National Committee and the email account of John Podesta, Hillary Clinton’s campaign manager, the FBI director said.
Of course, just because you don’t hack into a campaign doesn’t mean you can’t find dirt on the president-elect, especially one who has filed for bankruptcy four times in his lifetime and has probably had to go overseas for a line of credit. It’s not a stretch of the imagination, is it? Well, I guess maybe we’ll be lucky enough to find out what blackmail material Putin’s sitting on before the nukes drop.
