Biden on Clinton: ‘I never thought she was a great candidate. I thought I was a great candidate.’
Joe Biden put down the ice cream cone and picked up the microphone Thursday night at the SALT Hedge Fund Conference in Las Vegas to tell the crowd about his thought’s on Hilary Clinton’s 2016 campaign. “I never thought she was a great candidate,” the former vice president told those in attendance. “I thought I was a great candidate.”
At the same conference, Biden also revealed how he “may very well run” for high office in 2020, piling onto the “XYZ would have won” trope which many want to believe (even here) despite that no other Democratic candidate other than Clinton had the weight of the Obama White House behind them.
Likely recognizing how his big mouth got him into shit, Biden later clarified that “Hillary would have been a really good president,” reports CNN. Which isn’t all that difficult to agree with. I think we’d all prefer her administration over the turgid pile of scalloped potatoes we’ve saddled ourselves with instead.
