Martin Shkreli headed to jail for asking people to steal Hillary Clinton’s hair

A judge revoked Martin Shkreli’s bail on Wednesday and had the pharma douche remanded into custody for asking his followers to snag him some of Hillary Clinton’s hair.

Shkreli offered $5,000 last Monday to whoever could grab him a lock of Clinton’s mane while she is out on her book tour. The bounty prompted an investigation from the Secret Service. Prosecutors asked that Shkreli’s $5 million bail be revoked while he awaits sentencing following his conviction on two counts of fraud back in August.

Shrkeli maintains the post was just a joke and sent a letter apologizing to the judge before his hearing on Wednesday. He claimed it “never occurred” to him that asking someone to assault the former secretary of state might “cause Mrs. Clinton or the Secret Service any distress.” He also referred to the request for Clinton’s hair as “satire,” because why not put the final nail in that word’s coffin while we’re at it?

The apology appears to not have worked. Hope it was worth it, buddy.
