Lucius Malfoy actor says Sean Spicer ‘comes up to my nipples’

Much of the world was shocked at how quickly the entertainment world opened their arms to Sean Spicer at the Emmys on Sunday night, posing for photos and cheek-kissing the man whose job it was for months to spew propaganda to the American public on behalf of Donald Trump.

Not, however, famed fictional anti-muggle racist Lucius Malfoy (aka actor Jason Isaacs), who took to Instagram to note his confused displeasure that Spicer was at the festivities. Among the surprising things the Harry Potter series actor noted was Spicer’s stature: “He comes about up to my nipples.”

“What were the Emmys thinking celebrating this modern day Goebbels, who was the thuggish face of Orwellian doublespeak just moments ago?” Isaacs wrote.

Isaacs underscores the whole problem with inviting Spicer to the Emmys to make him a cute punchline: He has done nothing to redeem himself in the eyes of the public for being an agit prop machine who helped perpetuate Trump’s lies, and his attacks on the press, from day one. Why should he be welcomed with a “water under the bridge” attitude?

As our own Maggie Serota wrote: “When Charlie Chaplin shot ‘The Great Dictator,’ he didn’t fly Erwin Rommel over for a cameo to show that the Third Reich are good sports.”

Though it seems like no one called out Spicer to his face (Hollywood decorum seems to override everything), Isaacs is one of the few actors to publicly call out the Emmys for inviting him to their club.

Lucius Malfoy, welcome to the resistance.
