MSNBC host: Source said Tillerson called Trump ‘a fucking moron,’ not just a regular moron

After months and months of stonewalling the media, Secretary of State Rex Tillerson called a press conference Wednesday to refute an NBC News report that he called his boss, President Trump, a “moron” in a Pentagon meeting. The comment was reportedly made in regard to the president comparing strategy in Afghanistan to renovations at the 21 Club steakhouse in New York.

MSNBC anchor Stephanie Ruhle, who makes up one of the four bylines on the extensive report, which was confirmed by three administration officials, stands by the story amid the president tweeting that he is owed an apology because of the #FakeNews.

While insisting her reporting is correct, Ruhle offered an important distinction regarding Tillerson’s reported assessment of his boss’s intelligence.

“My source didn’t just say [Tillerson] called him a moron,” Ruhle told MSNBC reporter Hallie Jackson. “He said [Tillerson] called him an f-ing moron.”

Ruhle had to censor herself during the live news broadcast, but we get the picture.
