Roy Moore implies his four sex abuse accusers are liars
Following a devastating Washington Post story where four women accused Alabama GOP senate candidate Roy Moore of creeping on them as teens, the Steve Bannon-backed right winger issued a statement denying the claims and essentially calling the accusers liars. One of his accusers says she was 14-year-old when the then assistant district attorney touched her inappropriately.
On Tuesday afternoon, Moore’s campaign chair Bill Armistead issued a statement on the child abuse accusations claiming that they are the result of some grand liberal conspiracy.
“These allegations are completely false and are a desperate political attack by the National Democrat Party and the Washington Post on this campaign.
“Judge Roy Moore has endured the most outlandish attacks on any candidate in the modern political arena, but this story in today’s Washington Post alleging sexual impropriety takes the cake. National liberal organizations know their chosen candidate Doug Jones is in a death spiral, and this is their last ditch Hail Mary.”
Here’s the statement in its entirety.
