Not even Sarah Sanders can defend Trump accusing Joe Scarborough of murder
You know one of President Trump’s tweets is beyond the pale when White House spin doctor Sarah Huckabee Sanders won’t defend it. Such is the case for the president reviving the old, baseless conspiracy theory that former Florida congressman turned MSNBC morning show host Joe Scarborough murdered the intern that was found dead in his office in 2001.
A reporter asked why the president thought it was appropriate to bring up Lori Klausutis’s death and if he “thinks Scarborough is responsible for the death of his former aide.”
“I don’t have anything to add on that front beyond the tweet,” Sanders said, which is rather shocking given how many vile and disturbing tweets she has defended in her White House tenure. The woman who straight up told reporters that all of Trump’s sexual assault accusers are liars won’t touch that one. Wild.

Scarborough responded to Trump’s unhinged tweets by claiming that campaign aides had confided in the “Morning Joe” host their concerns over the president’s possible dementia.
Just another Thursday in Trump’s America.
