Listen To The Entire Michael Jackson Album Right Now

You’ve heard “Breaking News” and “Much Too Soon,” now take a listen to Michael Jackson’s posthumous album in its entirety over at the singer’s official website.

A few quick notes from our listen-through: “Hollywood Tonight” has a beat that sounds like a Timbaland bootleg, there’s some vocoder/auto-tune going on in “(I Like) The Way You Love Me,” and the psychedelic-funk track “Behind The Mask” is the best cut on the album.

In “Monster” 50 Cent raps about “Michael” being “the 2010 Thriller.” So far, critics seem to disagree. NME called the album “kind of enjoyable” but also added, “”if this decent-enough album is the best of the bunch, things are going to get ugly from here on in.” (NME) While Rolling Stone said the album is “not a Michael Jackson album” and Jackson “would not have released anything like this compilation… yet, it’s a testament to the man’s charisma that ‘Michael’ can be compelling.” (Rolling Stone)
