LCD Soundsystem's Final TV Appearance On Colbert (VIDEO)

Last night, New York City’s house band LCD Soundsystem bid farewell to the TV world via an appearance on The Colbert Report. James Murphy sat down with Stephen Colbert for an interview in which the two discussed the pitfalls of rock-star retirement (no more “honey-dipped co-eds”) and Murphy’s future plans to run DFA Records and “make coffee.”

LCD Soundsystem then took the Colbert stage to play a nostalgic rendition of “This Is Happening” standout “I Can Change.”

We’re still lamenting our ticketlessness for the final show — so much so that we considered scalping — but tickets for the pit at MSG start at $850 on Stubhub?!? Forget it, we’ll just stay home and replay LCD live youtubes instead.
