The duo rapped a medley of cuts by N.W.A., Public Enemy, Vanilla Ice, Lil Wayne, and more on “Late Night with Jimmy Fallon.”
Last night on “Late Night with Jimmy Fallon,” Justin Timberlake and Fallon performed a sequel to their original hip-hop ode “History of Rap.”
With Questlove and The Roots as their backing band, Timberlake and Fallon blazed through a sped-up medley of hip-hop classics and Kurtis Blow’s “The Breaks,” Grandmaster Flash and The Furious Five’s “The Message,” N.W.A.’s “Express Yourself,” Public Enemy’s “Bring the Noise,” and Rob Base & DJ EZ Rock’s “It Takes Two.”
Fallon, whose Neil Young impression demonstrated he has a decent set of pipes, did most of the vocal heavy-lifting with Timberlake holding down the comedic swerves and dances.
By the end of the medley, the duo hit more current tracks from 50 Cent, Outkast, Lil’ Wayne, DJ Khaled, and Rick Ross.
I think most of the credit here has to go to The Roots for throwing together the sick instrumental track behind this mash-up.
