The Flaming Lips keep on pumping out their collaborative efforts, adding Bon Iver to the roster of artists who will join them on their upcoming compilation record.
The album will feature Neon Indian, Plastic Ono Band, Nick Cave, and Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros, who have already recorded their tracks with Wayne Coyne and company. The Bon Iver contribution has been confirmed, but according to Rolling Stone, Coyne is just gearing up to send tracks to Justin Vernon.
Coyne is still working on the full list of artists, hoping to add Erika Badu, Lykke Li and Ke$ha — yes, Ke$ha — to the bill. Initially, the Lips frontman had said this would be a Record Store Day release, but as of now the official date is unconfirmed. The band is still aiming for it to drop in April.
