Insane Clown Posse somehow manage to keep popping up in our news feeds. In 2010, the video for “Miracles” reminded the world how preposterous the group can be and had the world yelling out “fucking magnets — how do they work?” all over the place. Last year, an unthinkable collaboration between ICP and Jack White was released on Third Man Records, with that image of White standing stone-faced between the two rappers burning a hole through our brains.
The intrigue behind ICP now goes even deeper with the unveiling of “Wicked Clown Love” by Neil Medlyn, which will feature set design by riot grrrl foremother, Kathleen Hanna.
“Wicked Clown Love” will be a visual interpretation of ICP’s music and Juggalo culture. The press release states, “The show will revolve around Medlyn’s dark specter versions of ICP songs, male bonding activities, flashlight wrestling, terror and horror, face paint, underground Midwestern horror rap, Faygo showers, clown love, and much more.” It’s hard to imagine what the final performance piece will look like, but it sounds horrific.
This show is just one of several new projects Kathleen Hanna has a hand in, another of which is a new album with her new band, The Julie Ruin, which features one of her former Bikini Kill cohorts, Kathi Wilcox, and is named after Hanna’s one solo album, released in 1997.
“Wicked Clown Love” will be running February 2-4 at The Kitchen in NYC.

Maybe God wants
us to meet a few wrong people before meeting the right one, so that when we
finally meet the person, we will know how to be grateful. Find true love? ——-> sugarcupid.C¤M
