Chick-Fil-A with a side order of severe homophobia

I never, ever thought I’d have to type the words “homophobic chicken sandwich,” but there we go. Chick-Fil-A – the chicken sandwich people (what’s not to love?) – have some extra special fine print on their flier that is being handed around to advertise their newest location on the quite-liberal NYU campus. I know what you’re thinking: chicken sandwiches and a job… this is a win-win situation, right? Take a look at the fine print on their “Help Wanted” flier, brought to us by our friends at the NYU Local tumblr.

there's a difference between standing up for what you believe in and discrimination because of it, which is wrong on any and every level. but either way, the flyer is fake. so it doesn't make difference what you think.

it's nice to see some one standing up for their beliefs… whatever it may be, and not bending or conforming just to get more business and make more money… which they certainly would if they had chosen to go the other way. Stand up for what you believe, be a leader not a follower. They could have taken the easy route, but they are successful none the less! Go Chick-fil-a go, you will always have my business when I am in the chicken eating mood!

That's the nature of the free market. I liked Chik-fil-a, and will miss eating there, but an ok chicken sandwich is not worth supporting this.

A'shia Myers I actually don't agree. I've watched Snopes for many years, and use them frequently to rebut the usual trolling stuff that goes around. However, there facebook site is NOT the site that I trust. *I* have no way of knowing who is in control of their facebook page at the moment. I also have enough experience with people being fooled by non-official postings (random people posting on the wall, and other people assuming that's an actual post for instance) to not trust random people on the internet. As far as adding them and removing them, I don't feel the need to do that. If snopes posts on their site, I will listen, and correct my statements as needed. If not, I don't feel the need to correct any of my statements.

Tim Strackbein You "don't feel the need to do that" because it will take too much effort? Or because you want to continue acting high and mighty on a comment section? If you "Like" the page for one minute, you will be able to see an OFFICIAL post from ChickFilA regarding this flier. I am intelligent enough to not be fooled by an unofficial posting. Of course, for you to say that you won't listen to the official Facebook page of ChickFilA but will listen to Snopes.com is pretty foolish.

http://www.forbes.com/forbes/2007/0723/080.html Though it's an older article, Chik fil a can say what they want. The more I research this the more I don't care if the original was not part of an official Chik fil a advertisement, it's clearly part of their practice. FTA: "If a man can't manage his own life, he can't manage a business," says (founder and chairman), who says he would probably fire an employee or terminate an operator who "has been sinful or done something harmful to their family members."

I will not force it down your throat, so why the fuck do you think you can force your opinion on others? everyone has the freedom to choose! It's people like you that make me cringe when fighting for the freedoms you so enjoy, and I would simply like to meet you one time to show you how ignorant you are! BTW enjoy the freedom I am willingly fighting for you to have while being away from my family and loved ones for years at a time. If you don't agree, that's your god given right!
