Now, I’ve never actually been to SXSW, but I get the feeling this animation doesn’t miss the mark by too much.

The video from NMA explains that you probably aren’t cool enough to go to Austin for the festival, and that the badges are prohibitively expensive and make it so only industry types get to go. Also, apparently bloggers and industry types jump on trampolines (where do I get mine?). Who knew. Anyway, it goes on to explain that a lot of bands are discovered there, and that you’ll likely get kicked in the face as you try to jump on the bandwagon six months too late.

But apparently you can always go to Bonnaroo and Burning Man, you dirty hippie. This is all very true, though I’m not sure the hipsters invading Texas would wear quite that much tie dye.
