In the wake of the horrific movie theater shooting in Aurora, it’s worth a reminder that over 100 people die every day due to America’s disgusting gun culture. Here is just another one of those news stories of senseless, needless murder.
Kenneth Roop – a 52 year old man from Cape Coral, Florida – shot a door-to-door delivery man first in the shoulder and while the man lay bleeding to death he shot him in the head. He may cite Florida’s batshit insane “stand your ground” laws in his defense, which give you the right to shoot someone that you think is threatening you in any way. The door-to-door salesman, in full company uniform, was trying to sell Kenneth Roop frozen steaks and lobster. He died instantly, at the age of 30, after being shot in the head by a madman.
Roop’s character profile in the Fort Meyers News Press describes a gun-crazy anti-government nutjob who had in the past threatened small children who rode their bikes too close to his house.
Donna Perillo, who lived two doors down from Roop for about a year, said he was known as “the nut job from the block” and had called police several times on neighborhood children playing in the street near his home.
Perillo said the children, between the ages of 4 and 8, would ride their bikes up and down the street.
“He kept saying if they step foot on my property, they’re trespassing,” she said.
Each time, officers came and talked to the man and told him the kids were allowed to play in the street, she said.
“The cops came several times and said the man’s not all there, so have them pick a different turn-around point (on their bikes),” she said.
It get’s worse:
John Godfrey, who was selling meat with Rainey on Wednesday, said Rainey had no idea what was coming.
“That’s the eerie part,” Godfrey said. “There was no warning; there was no yelling.”
Once Rainey lay face down on the driveway, bleeding after the first shot, Godfrey said Roop sat in his truck for a few seconds before pointing his weapon once more at the back of Rainey’s head.
“That’s murder, execution-style,” he said. “The guy showed no emotion whatsoever.”

I don't own a gun, but I believe we al have the right to defend ourselves. This man is the exception, not the rule. Most gun owners are not totally insane. Do your research, we as a society need to take responsiblity for our actions, not the vessel of those actions. So if I hit you with a car, should we ban cars?

I agree it's the individual holding the trigger, not the gun.
