Visit a piano graveyard

O’Mara Meehan Piano Movers is a New York based business that’s been around since 1874. Bryan O’Mara is a fourth generation piano mover, and has seen the business of piano moving slow down hugely since the economic recession hit. More often than not their job consists of sadly disposing of pianos (rather unceremoniously with a dull thud on the concrete floor of a trash warehouse) – something Bryan laments having to do.

I've always been somewhat naive, I guess. I thought pianos would just be resold/find new homes, when someone couldn't afford the upkeep… This is kind of sad to watch…

Oh no! Yeah, that's sad and painful to watch, especially the first 30 seconds (it just seems wrong for pianos to be treated that way) and yet it was funny for some reason…..probably because the only time one sees careening pianos is in Tom and Jerry cartoons.;) Seriously though, it's a real shame…

I am wondering if there are any "piano graveyards" in the windsor area or ontario. I am looking for a small baby grand,, that has had its days and no one wants it anymore or its broken and doesn't play.
