I’m not the first to have noticed this – Daily Kos, All Voices, and even commenters on ABC News picked up on it – during a press conference on Tuesday in which Mitt talked about the death of the American ambassador to Libya and three others, he was smirking during his speech.

As a presidential candidate, Mitt is entitled and offered to bring his own nuances to the table, but smiling as he takes the opportunity to NOT report on the deaths but instead hammer President Obama on his foreign affairs? Mitt took a world stage and used it for cheap shots while smiling when talking about American deaths.

What does that even mean? Does he have any idea of the inner horror that he exudes when smiling when talking about deaths of servicemen? Does he tell fart jokes at funerals, too? What’s next?

Think what you will of Mitt’s wealth: the guy is allowed to be as rich as he wants, but what is most disturbing is Mitt’s apparent failure to come even close to being a human being. He’s almost like a baby in this world; toddling through the moments with his wads of cash and belief that because he showed up he’ll likely get the job, same as everything else in his life.

It’s one thing to be inhuman, as Mitt has proven himself to be this entire campaign. It’s another entirely to be inhumane, the way Mitt conducted himself on Tuesday during this now infamous press conference. Some may cite the disastrous press conference as the turning point in Mitt’s campaign; when we all saw him for who he really is – just a rich man grasping at straws, trying to figure out what he’s saying while he’s saying it, eager above anything just to get middle America to like him, even if he has to smile he way through a few American deaths.

He was even smiling as he left the podium. Instead of playing it cool, calm, and civil, Mitt Romney deliberately took the death of 4 Americans and directly turned it into a cheap political shot at his opponent – while smiling. Who does that? What kind of sick puppy are we dealing with here?
