TLC confirm plans for first new album since ’3D’
In the midst of all the craziness surrounding Hurricane Sandy and the upcoming election, Rozonda “Chilli” Thomas and Tionne “T-Boz” Watkins of TLC have announced their plans to record a new album, their first in 10 years. Good news still exists, you guys!
At the Mobo Awards in Liverpool, T-Boz told BBC, “We’re going to still sound like TLC, evolving to whatever level we need to be at this time.”
She continued, “We’ve always grown throughout the years and have always had our own sound. That’s what works for us and we don’t have to worry about anybody else.
“When that stops working, maybe we’ll hang up the towel, but that still works. We have to get into the studio and start feeling how we feel. You have to find yourself first and then you find the path and then you have an album before you know it.”
In addition to the new album, the girls are planning a tour, as well as a VH1 biopic, which they will be executive producing. We’ve also been hearing dirty rumors that the group is planning to incorporate Left Eye via hologram in their tour, but we’re going to ignore that for now, and just focus on the fact that TLC is still making music.
