The first time Harvey Weinstein read the script for ‘Pulp Fiction’
I don’t know why I love this video so much. I guess it’s just a reminder that, despite all the horror stories one has read about the cold-blooded and hot-tempered Miramax man in Peter Biskind’s “Down and Dirty Pictures,” the man still has a love for making movies. And, hey, he and his brother did bring Quentin Tarantino’s “Pulp Fiction” to the big screen.
In a DVD extra on the upcoming “Tarantino XX” boxed set, producer Richard Gladstein recalls the day he pushed Harvey to read QT and Roger Avary’s royale screenplay — and how it took maybe two hours for Weinstein to get on board.
