Watch three dogs learn how to drive

MINI, makers of the adorable MINI Cooper, has teamed up with SPCA for what might be the best ad campaign ever created: “Driving Dogs,” a project aimed at showing off the intelligence of rescue dogs, while simultaneously scoring MINI a viral hit.

Of course it’s working. The video above, in which three dogs—Monty, Ginny and Porter—drive MINIs very slowly around a race track while a trainer yells commands from a few inches out the window, has been making its way around the internet, and the Facebook Page, Driving Dogs, already has over 10K likes. The dogs look surprisingly natural in the driver’s seat—like scruffy little chauffeurs.

Here are a few pics of the dogs practicing:

And videos introducing the pups to potential rescuers:

The SPCA did this to draw attention to the fact that stray dogs are just as smart/valuable as any other dog. Pretty effective marketing if you ask me, it got you here.
