Sister band HAIM caught our attention last year with their debut EP “Forever” and its super-catchy single of the same name. They recently appeared on BBC Radio 1 to debut a new single “Falling.”
HAIM seems to have jumped forward a decade with “Falling.” Whereas “Forever” had an ’80s throwback sound in the way the vocal and rhythm section combine (and in the bridge, which shares a harmonic pattern with “Time After Time”) “Falling” has a 90s sound, driven by Danielle’s gritty guitar. Her guitar playing is actually pretty impressive, and the song even features a guitar solo, which is a rare treat these days.
Check out the new HAIM below.
