It is very rare in music when the sum is greater than its parts. So often when you get two great minds together it ends up not working out. Fortunately for us, Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaur was able to make the Foals song “My Number” even better.
Earlier this month we raved about how excited we were about the new Foals album. I reviewed the original version of “My Number” toward the end of last year and it was everything that you know and love about the band. It was catchy and soulful. I was lucky enough to have a chat with keyboardist Edwin Congreave which will be available to read next week, but today we get a great remix from fellow Oxford mate TEED.
TEED has been producing some fantastic music in the last couple of years. His take on electronic music is unique and his solo releases speak for themselves. The remix evolves the song, replacing the catchy guitar riffs with a beat that would make anyone want to get up and dance. Check out the remix below and pick up the album “Holy Fire” on February 12th.
