‘Fresh Prince’ theme song shuts down PA schools
Little did Travis Clawson know, when he decided to recite the theme from the “Fresh Prince of Bel Air” as his voicemail greeting that the seemingly innocent line “shooting some b-ball outside of the school” would be interpreted by his eye doctor’s receptionist as “shooting some people outside of the school”, which would then lead to the whole Beaver County (I’ll give you a minute to enjoy that) School System having to go on lockdown for 20 minutes while school officials figured out what the hell was going on.
The boy insists that he was neither up to no good, nor making trouble in his neighborhood by singing the iconic theme song, and school officials are taking him at his word. They’re being pretty cool about the whole thing and looking at it as having been a good way to run through their safety procedures. However, Clawson’s parents are pretty embarrassed about it and are talking to a lawyer about their “options”.
And for your further entertainment, may I present the super awesome “Google Translate” version of the Fresh Prince Theme Song, which is totally one of my new favorite things.
